Put trade skills up front
Start with a short summary naming the plumbing work you can do independently and the systems or materials you know. Follow it with relevant skills such as fixture installation, leak repair, pipe threading, or drain cleaning. Be precise about your level: list work you assisted with as assistance, and work you completed yourself as your own task.
Describe jobs and results
Use bullets to show the task, setting, and outcome. For example, say how many service calls you handled in a typical week, what fixtures you installed, or whether you tested a repair before handover. Use modest figures you can explain. Leave out unsupported claims such as a perfect first-time fix rate or vague statements about saving customers money.
List training and equipment
Add relevant plumbing certificates and safety or first aid training, using the certificate name shown on your document. Mention equipment you have actually used, such as a drain machine, pipe threader, or pressure test pump. Licence names and requirements vary by country and employer, so describe your credential accurately and do not imply authorization you do not hold.
Include informal trade work
Apprenticeship, helper, family business, and occasional repair work can show useful experience. Give the dates as accurately as you can, name the type of work, and state whether you worked independently or under supervision. Group related short jobs when that makes the timeline clearer. Leave out unrelated detail and do not claim a qualification for informal work.
