Lead with practical duties
Put parking or public-facing experience first, followed by useful work from retail, events, cleaning, or security. Name the duties you handled, such as directing traffic, explaining payment options, keeping lanes clear, or reporting hazards. If you have limited experience, include informal event or community work and describe what you were responsible for.
Show your equipment experience
List the equipment you have actually used, such as payment machines, ticket dispensers, gates, or two-way radios. Mention the task beside each tool so the hiring manager can see how you used it. Do not claim experience with CCTV, vehicle inspections, or moving customer cars unless you performed those duties.
Use clear, honest examples
Give specific examples of helping drivers, recording payments, keeping access routes open, or reporting a hazard. Use a modest number only when you can explain how you counted it. For short shifts or one-off events, state that the work was seasonal or event-based and group related dates clearly.
List relevant training plainly
Include first aid, workplace safety, or other training only if you completed it, and give the course name and year when useful. A driving licence is relevant when the advert asks for vehicle movement or driving duties; list the licence type that applies where you live. Leave out unrelated certificates and personal details.
